Panther Pink, one of the wildest colors to ever come out of an American automobile company.

1971 Dodge Charger R/T 440

This is my own 1971 Dodge Charger R/T, production date of January 15, 1971. The car was special ordered as indicated on the fender tag and broadcast sheet. Seems that someone wanted a Panther Pink '71 and they found a dealer willing to make it happen. There are only two other non-1970 FM3 cars documented by Galen Govier, neither of those are performance cars. While he has not officially documented my car, he has known about it for a long time.

I'm hoping to start the full restoration of my car in the near future.

Here is the equipment on my car:

  • 440 Magnum Engine
  • 727 Automatic Transmission with Column Shift
  • 3.23 Sure Grip Rear Axle
  • Power Disc Brakes
  • Air Conditioning
  • Cruise Control
  • Woodgrain Rim-Blow Steering Wheel
  • AM Radio w/Rear Speaker
  • High-Impact Panther Pink Paint
  • Black Full Vinyl Top
  • Black Bucket Seat Interior with Center Armrest
  • Light Group
  • Inside Hood Release
  • Front & Rear Bumper Guards
